First EcoVelocity show is a big success for SEAT

SEAT showed off its green credentials and range of sporty yet fuel-efficient cars at last month’s EcoVelocity festival, which was held at Battersea Power Station in London.

Visitors to the first-ever low-carbon motor show had the chance to learn more about the greenest cars in our range, including the congestion-charge-exempt Ibiza and Leon Ecomotives, and to take them for a spin on a specially designed circuit around the perimeter of famous power station.

More than 800 green-car fans aged between 11 and 16 years old got behind the wheel of a dual-control Ibiza Ecomotive thanks to the SEAT Young Driver programme.

Other show highlights included the Green Supercar Paddock; the ‘Eco-Lab’, which revealed the secrets of green motoring; and the What Car? catwalk parade, which showcased the most environmentally friendly cars on sale today.

“EcoVelocity provided fantastic exposure for the SEAT and Ecomotive brands,” said Alastair Porter, SEAT UK’s Experiential Marketing Manager. “Visitors – who included the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson – couldn’t miss our impressive stand and support of the ever-popular Young Driver programme.”
