William Livingstone was our grandfather, who, along with our father John, started the business in 1961 in their home town of Uddingston. Initially, John, a fully qualified mechanic ran the workshop and also looked after car sales. The business grew steadily on the strong beliefs of hard, honest work, a fair price and always giving great customer service. These beliefs still hold true today.

Our Service Manager, Sandy Cochran, is our longest serving member of staff. Sandy joined us straight from school in 1979 as an apprentice mechanic. Sandy worked through our workshop becoming foreman and then Service Manager in 1991 at the time of introducing SEAT to our company.

Since joining SEAT in 1991, we have been privileged to win many awards for excellence. These have been awarded to both the dealership and also to individuals who have proven their abilities in national SEAT competitions. Our professionalism has also been recognised by the Institute of the Motor Industry when in 1997 we became a ‘Brass Plaque’ Dealer signifying the professional reassurance that we as a company offer our customers. The plaque also highlights the extensive number of individual employees who are members of the Institute. This membership commits these individuals to a code of professional conduct.

Being crowned Scotland’s best franchise garage for the third time in 2014 was also a fantastic accolade. This achievement, earned through a national competition run by the industry regulator Motor Codes and based on customer votes and comments, is a great tribute to our excellent staff and the levels of service that we provide our customers.’

We are fortunate to have a great team of staff in all areas of our business, many with over 20 years’ service. They are all dedicated to providing great customer service.

We have also been recognised several times by Motability for outstanding customer service and excellence in operating within the Motability scheme.

As a business, we are accredited by the Motor Ombudsman.

As an accredited business we agree to adhere to The Motor Ombudsman Codes of Practice, which state that we must comply with TMO compliance monitoring procedures. TMO regularly monitor accredited businesses through feedback received through customer satisfaction data, through cases we receive through the adjudication service as well as audits on a random sample basis.

We offer our customers a ‘one stop shop’ facility as we can directly look after every aspect of your car’s needs from the day you take delivery. Our workshop carries out all types of servicing, maintenance & repairs. This includes air conditioning servicing, tyre and window replacement. We also have an MOT testing station on site so we can MOT your car while it’s in for service. Our bodyshop can repair & repaint your car whether that is after an unfortunate accident or just to maintain its appearance. We also resolve minor repairs such as alloy wheel scuffs, shopping trolley & car park dents, often without even having to re-paint the panel.

Our fully stocked Parts Department, managed by Craig Currie, supplies a wide range of parts, accessories, tyres and tools to both trade and the public. We can offer an extensive range of products and accessories for your car including, roof racking, child seats, body kits, sports exhausts and even SEAT branded clothing. We also supply a wide variety of electronic equipment such as sat navs; dash cameras and even sports watches! All of our products are available from our Online Parts Store
