On the 1st February 1991, W Livingstone Ltd, joined the SEAT Franchise and have never looked back. As an established local business, already with 30 years as a Motor dealer and repairer in Uddingston, Livingstone’s loyal customer base really embraced the exciting and dynamic new models in the SEAT range and W Livingstone Ltd were soon at the top of the league tables for sales and service.
Key to the firm’s success has been some great staff, Sandy Cochran, Service Manager and Kate Lappin, Sales Administrator, have both been key to our SEAT success for every minute of the last 30 years!
Kate features in a photograph taken at our ‘official launch event’ on 19th February 1991, playing host and looking after everyone – as always.
Also photographed is the winner of a ‘launch offer’ competition to win a holiday to Ibiza. Other photographs show the transformation of our SEAT Dealership over the last 30 years.
In 1998, after a successful 7 years representing SEAT for Lanarkshire and East Glasgow and with sales rising and the SEAT model range expanding, W Livingstone Ltd invested heavily and transformed their premises addition new service bays plus a substantially larger showroom.
The investment continues, most recently with the introduction of new charging units for the expanding range of electric and PHEV hybrid cars being introduced by SEAT.
Today W Livingstone Ltd can celebrate 60 years in business and 30 years representing SEAT Cars.
