‘The Alhambra remains the best MPV on sale,’ concluded What Car?’s rigorous five-star review of what has been their MPV of the Year for three years running. ‘It’s classier, quieter and better to drive than its rivals… a clear winner’.
So why does the Alhambra come out top?
It leaves competitors in the dust by scoring five stars for refinement as the quietest car at 70 mph, cutting through the air with barely a whisper whilst inside it’s a bubble of tranquility.
The Alhambra glides over the bumps of Britain’s roads remarkably well for an MPV, and yet remains steady and composed around tight twists and turns. What Car? reports, the ‘ride is very comfortable, yet the Alhambra still handles with composure’.
User reviews have also raved about the sliding rear doors, which make getting kids in and out so much more straightforward, and the lightweight bootlid, as well as how simple it is to flip the rear seats up and down with just one hand. This is why What Car? advises that ‘the Alhambra is best if you need to carry lots of young children’.
Visibility was also best in the Alhambra, according to What Car?, because of its large side windows and windscreen pillars that do not obscure your view.
In terms of equipment, the review concluded that the Alhambra’s instruments are the easiest to read, and noted that useful features like front-parking sensors and wheel-mounted audio controls come as standard.
So for its all-round driving experience, the SEAT Alhambra is by far the expert’s favourite.
‘The SEAT is proof that an MPV can offer the best of both worlds’
‘An outstanding family car in every respect.’
‘Spacious, practical and classy cabin… comfortable and good to drive’
‘The Alhambra is classier still…’
