  • Leon e-HYBRID wins accolade at Driving Electric Awards
  • Leon Estate named one of the UK’s best cars for towing

Our new SEAT Leon continues to impress after scooping two awards and a five-star rating from Euro NCAP. This fantastic achievement is one to share with prospective customers.

Euro NCAP gives our new Leon five-stars for safety

The new SEAT Leon has been awarded a maximum five-star safety rating from independent testing organisation, Euro NCAP.

A range of the latest active safety systems use data from a variety of feeds and sensors ensures new Leon sees the road ahead like never before and, importantly, is ready to adapt and react to changing driving scenarios.

Both the combustion engine (petrol and diesel) and plug-in hybrid variants of the new Leon were tested by Euro NCAP, scoring highly in all areas: Adult Occupant 92 per cent, Child Occupant 88 per cent, Vulnerable Road User 71 per cent and Safety Assist 80 per cent.

Occupants benefit from the inclusion of seven airbags as standard, including the new front-central airbag that prevents possible head contact between the driver and front passenger in the event of a side collision.

Systems including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Side and Exit Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Traffic Jam Assist, Light Assist and Pre-Crash Assist, work in unison to create a protective bubble around the vehicle and for occupants.

SEAT Leon e-HYBRID wins accolade at Driving Electric Awards

The SEAT Leon e-HYBRID has been named Best Small Plug-in Hybrid Car at the 2021 Driving Electric Awards. Each Driving Electric Award winner is the best electric of its kind to buy across 17 different categories according to the website’s panel of expert reviewers. Launched in late-Autumn, the Leon e-HYBRID has already established itself as a leader of its class, combining drive appeal with practicality and impressive financial figures. With a 40-mile EV range and CO2 emissions as low as 27g/km, the Leon e-HYBRID is rated at six per cent Benefit in Kind (BiK), making it an attractive option for company car drivers.

SEAT Leon Estate named one of the UK’s best cars for towing

The new SEAT Leon Estate has been named one of the UK’s best cars for towing at the Caravan and Motorhome Club Towcar of the Year Awards.

The SEAT Leon Estate FR 1.5 TSI 150 PS manual won the Caravan Weight 1,100-1,200kg class, standing out from the pack thanks to its impressive all-round ability and dynamic design.

With caravan holidays more popular than ever, more than 40 entrants were made into the annual awards. Entrants were evaluated and assessed by an independent panel of expert judges who carried out full technical specification and vehicle towing capability reviews.

Each car’s ‘Caravanability’ was assessed by evaluating boot load spaces (with the rear seats up and down), roof load limits, along with nose weight limits.
