The press are positively impressed by the new Mii after test driving the car in Spain last week (21-25 November): What Car? awarded it a perfect five stars; Autocar and Auto Express both gave it glowing reviews.

“Thanks to its impressive 2.4m wheelbase, space in the back is surprisingly good too… the Mii offers the kind of room that city car drivers a decade ago could only dream of. In fact, the Mii’s boot is nearly double the size of the old Arosa’s, at 251 litres, despite the two cars sharing similar exterior dimensions.

“A sweet thing indeed,” said What Car? “Even the three-cylinder engine is extremely smooth, and it has just about enough torque at low revs to scoot around inner-city traffic with ease. The gearshift is slick, and once you’ve coaxed the 59bhp variant up to motorway speeds… It’s surprisingly refined at 70mph.
“The steering is light but accurate – just what you’d want in a city car – and the chassis settings are firm but well damped. Inside it’s extremely smart and functional. So, expect hard-finish plastics, but nicely textured ones that lift the car beyond the look of Hyundai’s i10 and the latest Kia Picanto.
