SEAT Mii

New SEAT SEAT Mii city car

Mii – SEAT’s new city car offers practicality, drivability, efficiency and innovative technologies – making it the ideal companion for urban living. The SEAT Mii combines sporty Mediterranean design with quality craftsmanship and enormous scope for personalisation. It is outstanding value for money and, with low maintenance costs, is an easily attainable option for customers who want a small but perfectly formed city car.

“It’s remarkably grown up to drive for a city car. It’s also economical, well built, and cheaper than the near identical VW Up.”

The three-door version of the Mii will go on UK sale in June and will be followed by a five-door version in August.

The Mii launches with two new 1.0-litre petrol engines that produce 60 PS and 75 PS. Because the car weighs just 854kg, it’s extremely agile and efficient. In fact, the Ecomotive version will produce just 97g/km of CO2. All Mii models qualify for £0 vehicle excise duty in the first year. The Ecomotive offers strong mid-level specification with 67 mpg on the combined cycle and is exempt from the London congestion charge. This model also has the lowest possible benefit-in-kind rates.

Perfect for the city – and longer journeys

SEAT Mii - sideEvery element of the Mii’s design is geared towards maximising interior space, and successfully redefines what is possible on such a compact platform. The wheelbase is the longest in the class, but this is balanced by minimal front and rear overhangs, maximizing the car’s agility round town.

A square side profile and a near-vertical tailgate mean that rear passengers enjoy best-in-class headroom, but their comfort is not to the detriment of boot space, which is also the largest in the segment

At just 3.55 metres long and 1.64 metres wide, the Mii is the perfect size for modern-day urban use – but it still offers plenty of space for four people. There’s also room for 251 litres of luggage with the seats up, which increases to 951 litres of space when the rear seat is folded down.

The Mii is also spacious, comfortable and sporty enough to be a compelling companion over longer distance. With its low weight and modern drivetrains, the Mii is both sporty and efficient at the same time.

Trim levels

Mii will follow the same structure as the rest of the SEAT range.

S and S A/C

SEAT Mii S interiorr

Many customers will be looking for a simple, functional runabout at the keenest possible price. The S, and S A/C with air con for £500 extra, fits the bill. This derivative is available with the 1.0-litre 60 PS engine fitted with manual gearbox.

The car has black door handles and mirrors, and 14-inch steel wheels, which come without covers to give the car a real retro charm. Inside, there’s an MP3-compatible CD player with AUX-in port, two speakers and the preparation for the SEAT Portable System.

Comfort and safety are not ignored, with speed-variable power steering, a height-adjustable steering wheel and a full complement of airbags.

Ecomotive

SEAT Mii - interior

All Mii models offer low fuel consumption and exceptional CO2 emission figures, thanks to the city car’s light weight and efficient new engines. Therefore, we expect the Ecomotive to appeal to the economically minded private buyer and fleet buyers who set eco credentials as the highest priority.

The Ecomotive sits in the middle of the range. Over the S A/C, it gets electric front windows, body-coloured exterior plastics and wheel covers, along with remote central locking and more flexible seating.

From Ecomotive and above, electronic stability control (ESC) is also standard; a crucial ingredient in securing the Mii’s five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The Ecomotive also uses the 1.0-litre 60PS manual powerplant, but with start/stop system and energy recovery, which help reduce emissions to just 96 g/km.

SE

SEAT Mii - front quarter

The SE offers more luxury than the Ecomotive for a similar price, giving mid-budget customers a straight choice between extra-green performances or some additional creature comforts.

SE has style-conscious items both inside and out: 14-inch alloys, leather steering wheel, electric and heated door mirrors and chic interior styling details – the biggest of which is the gloss white dashboard panel.

Sport

SEAT Mii - front quarter

Over the SE, the flagship Sport model gets front fog lights, dark tinted windows and 15-inch alloys. Inside, the car has a more masculine look with a gloss grey dash panel, trim highlights and a darker upholstery design.

Like the Ecomotive, the Sport runs on lower suspension settings for increased aerodynamic performance and tighter handling.

The Mii options list contains a number of high-tech and high-convenience features that you would normally expect to find on much larger vehicles.

SEAT Portable System

SEAT Mii - portable system

This multimedia marvel is a true USP on the Mii platform. For a price comparable to an aftermarket sat-nav device, the SEAT Portable System adds a vast array of additional features. It is a required option on all Dealer demonstrators and showroom cars.

We’ve standardised the pre-installation (wiring) for the system on every UK car, which means all customers have the ability to purchase the device (from a SEAT Dealer) at any time, even if – for example – they are the second owner of a vehicle.

The unit connects to a ball-joint mounting that easily clips on to a port on the dashboard, and the whole unit can be removed without leaving any tell-tale wires or sucker-pad marks. As an extra deterrent to thieves, the system requires a PIN to be entered whenever it is used outside the car.

Functions are accessed via a main menu with four sections:

Vehicle Multimedia
  • Advanced trip computer functions
  • Extra ‘virtual’ dashboard dials
  • Radar for rear parking sensors (if fitted)
  • Low fuel prompt; sat nav helps you find a station
  • Micro-SD card slot for music files
  • Digital photo frame mode
  • Bluetooth audio streaming
  • Touchscreen display for CD player and radio
  • Seamless link to vehicle speakers
Navigation Telephone
  • 2D and 3D mapping with voice recognition
  • Pre-planning of routes at home
  • ‘Find my car’ function for pedestrian use
  • Logbook file saves routes and destinations
  • Hands-free mobile phone connection
  • Ability to pair two devices simultaneously
  • Voice control
  • Display of text messages

Safety Assist

Vehicles with ESC (standard on Ecomotive and above) can also use the innovative Safety Assist.

This system scans the road a short distance ahead, and can automatically brake the car to avoid an impending collision with the vehicle or obstacle ahead.

Operational at speed differentials up to around 18mph, it pre-fills the brake cylinders first, ready to give the driver maximum braking force as soon as he/she hits the pedal. If the driver completely fails to react, the car will automatically brake to a standstill.

This system actively reduces the severity of rear-end collisions, and can avoid them completely in the right conditions.

Panoramic glass sunroof

SEAT Mii - Panoramic glass sunroof

The large glass sunroof both tilts and slides, giving a greater feeling of spaciousness to all passengers. The glass panel slides back on top of the roof, so headroom inside the cabin is not affected.
